Dr. Anna Farberova is a seasoned professional with a multifaceted background in procurement and academia. Holding an MBA in International Business with a focus on Lean Manufacturing from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, USA, she is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO). Additionally, she completed a DBA and a Ph.D. in Political Economy, specializing in Supply Chain and Operations, from SMC University in Zug, Switzerland, in 2019.

As an accomplished author, Dr. Farberova has significantly contributed to the field of Supply Chain Management and Public Procurement. Her publications include books such as "The Legal Aspects of Contracting for Public Sector Services: Contract Administration", “Leadership as a major component of effective strategic planning in public procurement”, and "Efficient and Cost-effective Dispute Settlement Mechanisms in Public Procurement." Her passion for sustainable procurement initiatives is evident in both her research and professional endeavors. Drawing from her experience as a Senior Buyer at Bombardier Transportation and Purchasing Officer at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Dr. Farberova conducted qualitative phenomenological research to explore the organizational structure of purchasing departments in public and governmental sectors. Her doctoral-level study provided strategic recommendations to executive boards, contributing to a deeper understanding of purchasing processes in the 21st century. A member of prestigious professional organizations such as the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), the Canadian Public Procurement Council (CPPC-CCMP), and the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), Dr. Farberova is dedicated to advancing the field of procurement.

Throughout her career, she has held key roles, including Purchasing Supervisor at Linamar Corporation, where she honed her skills in negotiating contracts, implementing sustainable procurement practices, and fostering strong supplier relationships. Dr. Farberova's expertise spans the entire sourcing process, from inception to execution, ensuring optimal value and quality for her employers. An adept data analyst, Dr. Farberova excels in leveraging data and analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks. She has a track record of implementing process improvements that drive significant cost reductions and enhance operational efficiency. Dr. Farberova's academic background and research contributions uniquely position her to bring a strategic and analytical perspective to the Burundi Management Innovation Lab (BMIL).
