Janvier Pesser is an Assistant Professor at the Public University of Burundi. He studied at the University of Douala, in Cameroon for his PhD degree in Mathematics with specialization in Applied Mathematics, Specialty in Life Sciences from 2015 to 2019, and at the Université Libre de Bruxelles for his Master's degree in mathematical sciences, specializing in advanced mathematics, from 2010 to 2013. He completed his bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Burundi in 2007.
He joined the university in 2008 as Tutorial Assistant, then was promoted to the of Assistant Leturer between 2011 and 2019. From 2019, he is an Assistant Professor. He received his PhD/PhD in Mathematical Sciences, specializing in Mathematics applied to Life Sciences at the University of Douala, Cameroon, 2019. Dr. Janvier Pesser also teaches mathematics at public and private universities and institutes in Burundi, such as the Institut Supérieur des Cadres Militaires (ISCAM) in Civil Engineering and Operational Research at the Université Lumière de Bujumbura and the Université Polytechnique de Gitega. His research projects focus on dynamic systems, epidemiological and ecological modeling.
He teaches his courses in French and English, while using English when carrying out and publishing his scientific research.
