Bruno Kanyarushatsi is the managing director of an agricultural company "Rwanoga Seeds". The startup specializes in the seeds production and multiplication. In Burundi, selected seeds account for less than 10% of overall seeds (all commodities included) used, leading to systematic low productivity and the subsequent permanent food shortage and food insecurity.

Rwanoga Seeds' goal is to improve access to selected seeds for higher productivity by networking with established regional seed multipliers. This business strategy is consistent with the poorly equipped, landlocked, agricultural country with a large rural and illiterate population (90% are rural areas directly depending on agricultural produce). Despite being utterly archaic, the agricultural sector is arguably one of the few areas that represents a huge opportunity for the emancipation of a large portion of the population from poverty to an inclusive national development. This is possible only, and only when we intentionally invest in defining and proposing alternatives to structural, environmental, technical, and technological problems. Joining BMIL platform constitutes a monumental strategic move that allows our company to draw upon the knowledge wealth of its diversified expertise for better moving the "Rwanoga seeds" forward to improving the quality of life of Burundians, and building a better future rooted in spirited agrarian young generations.

Bruno Kanyarushatsi has an education background in environmental engineering and has studied at the Central South University in China Hunan province in 2013.
